'Life Goes On' - Oil on board, 25 x 25 cm
Happy New Year dear artsy friends!!
It's a beautiful way to start this year!! I'm very excited to announce that I have been awarded the Rehs Contemporary award as part of the Art Renewal Center 16th Salon. Wow!!! I'm humbled to receive such an award for my painting 'Life Goes On' (25 x 25cm, oil on board). This reputable competition is the largest and most prestigious competition in the world for realist art. This year it received 5,400 entries from 75 countries.
Exhibition in New York
This exciting news also means that I was invited to exhibit a new series of paintings at the amazing Rehs Gallery in New York City!! I will be exhibiting with a small group of amazing award winners and I can't wait!
I wish to thank ARC and Rehs Gallery for this amazing opportunity and also all the judges who have worked very hard during the last months. I'm very grateful and thankful.
What's next?
The next step would be to start the ideation process for the new pieces that I will eventually exhibit. This is an exciting process for me personally. The creative process is a particular stage in artistic production which I find very enjoyable. It gives you the opportunity to explore so many things, both conceptually and technically, and seeing how your ideas are developing and morphing into something meaningful is extremely motivating. More on this show later on. Now off to my studio! Busy days ahead! :)
